Covid Hit Me Twice

Working in home healthcare, it puts me at a greater risk of getting sick. You guys might remember back in November my whole family ended up getting COVID. We went the first 2 years without getting it. Then my main client passed away from other issues not being COVID and I picked up a few other clients and BAM. COVID ended up finding us.

It was weird how each one of us experienced it differently. I had it the hardest, a few times I was tempted to go into the ER. We all managed to get over it, I learned from the different stages and the different symptoms, that staying active played a role in recovery.

The first time, my daughter, my boyfriend and my son all were pretty active even though they felt horrible. I on the other hand only wanted to sleep. They had mild symptoms for a few days, I was sick for 3 weeks.

The end of February, I ended up getting COVID a second time, this time I was smart, I tried to stay more active, this was hard because I had this horrible cough and sore throat. The only thing I really did different was not stay in bed and sleep. I had symptoms for 5 days that’s it! 5 days vs 3 weeks, this time no one in my family got it except me.

At this point, I don’t think anyone really knows how COVID works or what can be done to actually stop it. I know none of my family is vaccinated for COVID, yet I keep getting COVID from a client that is fully vaccinated.

Have you had COVID? What were your symptoms?
