It seems like just yesterday when Summer break started, I cannot believe in less than two weeks we will be starting 6th Grade. My baby girl is now entering the middle school years, and I am going to do my best to make sure she really enjoys this school year. I am sure she will dislike me when she starts and sees all the work I have planned out for her, but in the end the reward will be worth the hard work.
We have her books and her schooling is paid. Now I am working on getting her binder in order so she knows what she is doing and when she is doing it. Every year I like to change things up a little bit, so she doesn’t get bored. This year on top of her normal subjects we will also be including health and home economics, I want her to learn the ropes from all angles.
I will also be making her do all her schooling at the kitchen table, last year she liked to lose focus and listen to music. Not this time!
How many of you are home schoolers? Do you all stick with the basics or do you do your own thing and make learning fun? While we try to stick to the basics we do our best to make learning fun so she doesn’t get bored with it.
