Well it seems as though we will not be doing Tennessee Virtual Academy. I have been trying for almost 2 weeks to contact the PAL and she is not returning my emails. With school starting in less than 2 weeks it’s time to get in gear and see about getting her back in Homelife Academy. The reason I am having such a hard time getting her back in school here, is that last school season we were in Michigan. I wish we would have had the money to pay the $70 at the time to keep her in HLA then we wouldn’t be having these issues.
Homeschooling can be pricey if you go with a pre-made curriculum. We have been using Switched on Schoolhouse for a while now; however, we cannot afford this so I will be searching the web for an alternative. I am thinking about checking out a Time4Learning as a core of our schooling, and using the library as our friend for other lesson plans. I know I can find many helpful books at the local library.
I don’t think I have ever been so stressed. I will be glad when we get this all situated.
How many of you homeschool? Which sites do you use for your resources?
Aww that sucks! Have you tried to call them?
Jen,
I would love to help you if I can. You should have heard back from your PAL –not sure what the situation is but if you email me your name and related info, I will make sure someone from the enrollment team follows up with you. There should be no reason why it has taken this long, so let’s get to the bottom of it.
