Whether you’re a welder or a roofer, you have certain equipment that is a must for your safety.
3 Must have items for a welder include…
1. Helmets for Welding – Having a helmet is a MUST, welding can be a very dangerous job, and you need to have your eyes, and hair protected. If a spark was to land on your head, you could be looking at a big problem. All it takes is one spark so protect yourself to prevent accidents.
2. Special Welding Gloves – You want your hands to be protected from those sparks, if you have ever welded before you know sparks are always flying.
3. Helmet Cooling System – if you work in the heat you want a cooling system to use under your helmet. This will help keep heat related injuries down.
Jobs such as welding can have very dangerous work environments, however if you take the necessary steps to protect yourself, the chance of major injury can be reduced. Do not think that you don’t need certain safety gear because the job is a small one. Accidents can happen within minutes, and taking the extra steps to ensure they don’t may save your life.
