How many of you love a good hot dog every once in awhile? Slap em on the grill or roast them over an open fire. It doesn’t matter to me how they’re cooked as long as I have my ketchup, mustard and relish on them. One thing about the hot dogs though, is you really can enjoy them several different ways. In our home we like our regular Summertime hot dog with ketchup, mustard and relish. The fall months we like to add some chili cheese to our hot dogs, and for a quick lunch we like to cut them up into macaroni and cheese. There really is no wrong way on how to use hot dogs.
Nathan’s Famous has a new way that you can enjoy your hot dog and it’s in a chip form. Yes, you heard that correctly, to celebrate their 100th year Nathan’s Famous and Inventure Foods, Inc. has come up with a new potato chip flavored just like Nathan’s Famous hot dog. This chip tastes just like one of my favorite hot dogs and you can taste the ketchup, mustard and relish in these chips!
Even though Summer is almost over, doesn’t mean you have to retire the hot dogs for the year. Like I said above we love our hot dogs and we love them several different ways. Our new way thanks to Nathan’s Famous is in a potato chip!
Of course when they arrived in the mail, I wasn’t waiting for the next cookout. However, I was waiting until the family was all in bed! When everyone was in bed I quietly went into the kitchen and opened up Nathan’s Famous Classic Hot Dog Potato Chips, I slowly and quietly placed one in my mouth and I savored the flavors. I could taste everything in these chips, if I didn’t know it was a potato chip, I would have thought it really was a hot dog.
I guess I wasn’t all that quiet because a short time later the scavengers, I mean my family found me in the kitchen. My husband couldn’t believe how closely these tasted to hot dogs. He said he could taste the mustard, ketchup and relish in the chips and after we sat there and ate the whole bag he was looking for more.
