When are we the people going to take off the blindfold and see the real problems our country faces? In a 24 hours period, six people have been killed by police officers, two of which have been talked about all over the news and all over social media, why? Because they were killings of African American men, NOT because they were killed by police, but because they were black and killed by police. Now stop a minute before you start with the bullshit about blacks being targeted by police! Are our black men and women being targeted yes, are our men and women who are homosexual being targeted yes, are the men and women who choose to be different targeted yes, are those who are poor being targeted yes, are those men and women who have sworn in to protect us being targeted yes, are those men and women who are wealthy being targeted yes, are those men and women who believe differently than what society wants us to believe being targeted yes.
If you step back for a minute and take a look at the bigger picture, you will see that every single human being is being targeted, who are we being targeted by EACH OTHER. Our police officers are no different then we as civilians, when they remove their uniform they to are just civilians, the only difference between a person working fast food and a person who has been sworn in to protect us is their occupation. When a police officer takes an oath to protect and serve, since that is the field they chose to work, they should be held to higher standards.
So why are we as humans targeting each other? Because we have been taught from a young age that certain things in society are acceptable and certain things are not. We all are labeled and targeted, black men and women are labeled not only because of their skin color but also because of the actions of other people within their race, they’re targeted by law enforcement, by white folks and by each other. Gay and lesbians are labeled because in the eyes of society, we’re not supposed to be attracted to the same sex and when we are it is a sin, they’re targeted by others who believe it is a sin to love the same sex in a sexual manner. The men and women of all races who choose to have piercings, tattoos and wear goth clothing are labeled as freaks and targeted by everyone because they choose to be different. Police officers are being targeted because not every officer goes into the field with good intentions and the media wants to portray them as singling out blacks, when the reality is over 600 people of all colors have been killed by officers in 2016 and more whites than blacks, at least 60 officers have been killed in the line of duty this year alone. The poor men and women are being labeled because the hourly pay rate without a good education is shit, the poor men and women cannot afford to live in nice homes, they cannot afford to have nice things, they can hardly afford to pay their bills and need help doing so. The wealthy men and women are being labeled because of jealousy and people wanting the finer things in life, but unable to afford them, they’re being labeled as greedy, as money hungry, as snooty.
The fact of the matter is EVERY SINGLE one of us carry some sort of label because we are judged by one another. Until we stop judging a book by its cover our children will have to pay the price.
When are we going to start looking at the bigger picture, and that is not of officers killing folks, it’s of us labeling one another that started this whole mess. It is people thinking their better than one another and are entitled. This isn’t a color thing, this is a human thing, this is a hate thing, this is a jealous thing, this is something that HAS to stop. We have to stop judging one another based on outer appearance, we have to stop labeling one another based on actions of others. It isn’t one race labeling another race, it is everyone labeling one another. I have seen black folks label black folks and I have seen white folks label white folks.
I sit here and I flip back to facebook and I see so much hate, so much racism, so many people judging one another, people making excuses for the actions of others, people pointing fingers and blame. When are we going to take responsibility for our actions? When are we going to see that this is really a human race issue and not a color race issue? When are we going to stop labeling and judging others based on a few bad apples? WHEN?
We have protesting going on all over the United States and that is all fine, but protest the real issue not the issue being fed to you by the media. Protest the killings of Americans by Americans, protest against the hate that our world has become, protest against the EVIL, protest against the damn Government that is manipulating us all to believe this is a fucking race issue! Protest peacefully, when you protest with violence all you are doing is giving people a reason to state the actions of others were justified! WAKE THE FUCK UP PEOPLE!!!
Our world is in chaos right now and the only people to blame is ourselves. We all are paying the price for what we have been taught, for what has been put into our heads, for what we continue to teach our children we all are not just certain people but every single one of us.
Very few killings should ever be justified, every single one of us as Americans should be treated equally. Yes, I know every single one of us are treated differently in society, I know that this is a fairytale that we all be treating like one another. I am not blind, but until we start moving in the right direction of removing the labels from one another than we all should fear for our children and I am very much aware that blacks are labeled and profiled more than others. I am very much aware that blacks are not treated equally, I am very much aware that we have a BIG FUCKING PROBLEM IN THIS WORLD.
I am also very much aware that the Government is not going to bring change to this world, if we want change we have to make that change starting with ourselves, starting with how we teach our children, starting with our homes and our communities, we have to stop lumping everyone into one category based on the actions of others. We have to take off those rose colored glasses and see that good and bad is in everyone and in every race. We have to stop being HYPOCRITES, because each and every one of us are just that FUCKING HYPOCRITES and if you say you’re not your a damn liar and fooling no one but yourself.
Every single one of us should go look in a mirror because we are the reason that change has not come, you don’t expect the Government to wipe your ass when you shit, you shouldn’t expect them to make this change, change starts with us.
