Holiday Blessings

Here in our home the holidays are more for the children, very rarely do we purchase gifts for the adults. We do have some adults that will make a fuss if they don’t receive a gift for the holiday, however, those are the adults we distant ourselves from through-out the year. Nothing I dislike more than an ungrateful adult that thinks they’re owed something.

I have to admit this Christmas wasn’t as big as last Christmas, because this happened to be the first of having a house payment. I can say I am very grateful for having a new home,  I am very grateful we won’t freeze this year due to no heat. I am very grateful that now when we’re bored, we’re bored looking at nice walls, instead of bored and depressed looking at our old walls.

I am very grateful that we had a roof over our heads, but more grateful knowing we’re in a place where we could afford to better our living. While I am still attempting to budget, I know in the end our decision to get a new home was the best we made.

Who all had great blessings this holiday? Whether it was a blessing to get your family something nice or to better your living?

I was able to not only better our living situation for our child, I was also able to gift my husband an awesome guitar that I had won.

What makes me happy is seeing my family happy, because to me that is the biggest blessing a mother and wife can have.
