Let Poise Help With LBL and #RecycleYourPeriodPad

Did you know that one in three women experience light bladder leakage? Many of us are to embarrassed to admit this problem. With this embarrassment we’re more likely to grab a period pad instead of a more suitable product. After all most women have a period and while it to can be embarrassing, it’s not as embarrassing as a leaky bladder.

Light Bladder Leakage, also known as LBL can be triggered by coughing, sneezing, laughing and even exercising. As we women get older, our bladder tends to weaken. You might not realize it, but childbirth, pregnancy and even weight gain can be the cause of your LBL. While you may think LBL is an older women issue, it doesn’t discriminate with age. I personally started to notice LBL a few years after having my daughter.

With Summer months here Recycle Period Pads and let Poise Thin-Shape Pads help you with your LBL. Poise® pads and liners will not only help you stay fresh but also give you the confidence you need this summer. Poise Thin-Shape Pads are designed specifically for LBL so you’ll have no more embarrassing moments.

I have decided to recycle period pads and let Poise Thin-Shape Pads help with my LBL.

Poise LBL

With my daughter recently finding a pregnant wolf spider, I decided what better way to get all them babies some water, then to recycle period pads into a spider drinking pad! Not only does the recycle period pads help keep the area moist, it also gives all those babies a place to get a drink.

So why recycle period pads and switch over to Poise LBL products? Because unlike most period pads, Poise Thin-Shape Pads are designed to keep you 3x drier than a normal period pad and they’re designed to move with your body, this keeping the leaks in check and giving you the confidence you need.

If you’re unsure about making the switch you can sign up for Poise Free Samples.

Don’t let a light bladder leakage keep you in this Summer #RecycleYourPeriodPad and make the switch, I did!

Good product. Finally a thinner pad with the same absorbency as the really thick ones.

  2. Sandy Cain says

I sent away for the free sample! Done with my period now (thank You, baby Jesus!!), but when I still had period pads left over, they made good dusting cloths, sprayed with a little Pledge. I do have LBL, and I’m glad this issue is “coming out of the closet” now, finally! Thanks for a great post!

    • Jammie Morey says

A lot of female issues need to come out of the closet more. I am glad to see women finally starting to except the changes that take place as our bodies change. I have used period pads for first aid and I also used them to wipe the car window before!

  3. Jeanne Rousseau says

Awesome, I got some of these for my mother.

  4. Thank you for posting this!

  5. This is great and I’m glad it’s being talked about. It’s time woman talk openly about their bodies without shame or embarrassment.

    • Jammie Morey says

I agree, so many of us are embarrassed to talk about certain things. We have to learn that it’s life and we’re not the only ones dealing with the issues. I never knew 1 in 3 women experience light bladder leakage.

  6. This has been very informative as I did not know about LBL before this

  7. Richard Hicks says

Will have to tell the wife about these recyclable pads.

  8. amy pugmire says

Would love to try them. making the world a safer place one pad at a time :)

    • Jammie Morey says

It’s funny you say that, when I recycled our period pad and put it in with the spiders, my daughter started fussing that I was going to drown the baby spiders.

  9. made for the right job works..

  10. rich morris says

I had a patient at work who used these and she swore by ’em. it really seemed to work for her

  11. That’s wild…thanks for sharing.

  12. This has been very informative, thanks for the post

  13. My mother and I both experience this, her more than me. Neither of us ever thought of using a pad besides a period pad, but then you have to change them so often. This is super awesome that there are other products out there to try.

    • Jammie Morey says

I honestly didn’t know they made pads for LBL, I knew I wasn’t wearing those disposable adult diapers!

  14. Thanks for all the information.

  15. Thanks for introducing me to this, Jammie. I’ll certainly give them a try!

  16. Ashley C says

Great points in this about why you should switch! I most say though, I’m a little caught up in your talking about having a spider and a bunch of baby spiders. I’m terrified of spiders and that sounds like a nightmare to me!

    • Jammie Morey says

To be honest, I didn’t think my daughter would keep it. I found her while cleaning the brush pile up and seen she had a sack. We homeschool and my daughter started to educate herself on them. We weren’t sure if the egg sack would hatch, but when it did our daughter was so excited she got very emotional. Wolf spiders carry their babies on their back. So this was super neat, with all those babies (over 50) we needed a bigger cottonball to water them, so we recycled our period pad and made a spider drinking pad. The babies have been relocated outside and we had them in a screened in butterfly house so they weren’t getting out. Funny thing is, our daughter is also scared of spiders!

  17. Alison Tolar says

Fortunately, I don’t have issues with LBL. At least for now, but I did find this article interesting. I had never heard of recycling period pads before.

    • Jammie Morey says

LBL can be embarrassing, mine started after my child was born, while I hate it, I love my daughter so it’s worth it.

  18. Heather Swarthout says

Thankfully I don’t have a bladder leakage, but poise pads are useful that’s for sure!

    • Jammie Morey says

I didn’t want to admit to the problem for a long time, and purchasing products for leakages can be embarrassing. Poise Thin Shaped pads are worth the little embarrassment I may feel.

  19. Poise work way better then period pads!! i agree

  20. Angela Livingston says

    Interesting idea

  21. Molli Vandehey says

thank you or sharing. i do not have a cycle right now as i am on birth control following childbirth and breast feeding, but these look great

  22. You are brave, pregnant Wolf Spiders are the subject of my nightmares! What will you do with the babies?

    • Jammie Morey says

My daughter has already let the momma and most all babies go outside. This was a fun learning experience for her and I loved watching how excited she got about the babies. I will have to post a video soon!

  23. Julie Wood says

I really like Poise Products for light bladder leakage, and their products are so comfortable!

  24. I love that poise leaves you drier than other brands.

  25. Poise makes great products

  26. It’s something I dealt with when I was expecting my last two babies, and something I’m sure I’ll experience again in the future as it seems to run in the family.

  27. Amanda Sakovitz says

I think these are great for women with bladder leakage.

  28. Erica B. says

I like that they are made for a whole different reason.

  29. Megan Zuchowski says

    Cool, would love to win.

  30. Christina Anne says

I have the same issue:( especially doing jumping jacks!!
THanks for the review…I may consider…I was just wondering about the price…are they cheaper than buying regular pads?

  31. Robby Rob says

gross! lol. seeing the pad in that bowl or whatever it was, was pretty funny. but gross! lol

  32. Stephanie Larison says

I love the design of these. As a big girl, we definitely need more room for messes down there. When I go to the store all I seem to find are thin ones, or even if they claim to be thick, they’re still too thin. Too skinny, rather. These look like they would fit my body better.

  33. good post

  34. Stephanie Galbraith says

Sounds like this would be perfect for me.

  35. Trying out products with free samples is very helpful because you do not want to spend several dollars on a product without knowing if it is what you need.

  36. Thanks for posting

  37. Nicole Carter says

I’m not sure about this, honestly it seems a bit gross.

  38. Francine Anchondo says

    Sounds like a great product

  39. Shayna Brookman says

These would have been useful while I was pregnant with my kids, I experienced a LBL during both pregnancies :)

  40. Dorothy Hubbard says

I am sad to say I have the LBL problem, so the poise sounds like a problem that it solves.

  41. There are a lot of great products made by Poise, including this.

  42. Eek! I do not dig spiders, but i’ve never thought to recycle pads! Good way to stay green!

  43. It’s good that Poise offers samples to try out the products.

  44. Buddy Garrett says

The post was very informative. The pads sound great.

  45. Kristen Ahern says

    Excited to try
