We all know a locked door is only keeping an honest person out of our home, however, having a good lock on our door can help slow down someone from breaking into our homes. When I was 21 and about 3 months pregnant my home was broke into. At the time I lived in a trailer park and the door was junk, I had that gut feeling my home was about to be broke into right after I left.
My husband and I went around the block came back and the guy was no where to be seen. Why? Because within about 2 minutes he was already in my home, one kick on the door and it popped open. Had I had a better lock and a deadbolt on my door, there’s a slight chance we would have caught him attempting to kick in the door.

Whether your door has a 60mm or 70mm backset, you will receive all the hardware to assure the door knob will fit properly and securely.
The deadbolt within this combo set, is also designed to assure it will fit all doors. It to comes with all the hardware needed to assure it will fit on your door.
Installing the Master Lock BCCO0615 Entry Door Lock with Single Cylinder Deadbolt was extremely simple. First thing I did was removed the old deadbolt and door knob.
After I had the old deadbolt and door knob off, I got everything ready to install the new Master Lock set. My old deadbolt was already Master Lock, however, the door knob was a cheap off brand one that had the lock mechanism broken.
I didn’t need to use any of the other fittings to install the Master Lock Door Knob and Deadbolt onto my door, the knob and deadbolt came ready to install on my door. All I had to do was place the knob and deadbolt onto my door and screw them in.
It took me maybe a total of 10 minutes to have the old ones off and the knew ones ready to go.
While I only needed one key before to lock and unlock my front door, I now can lock both the deadbolt and the door knob when I leave my home.
Overall I am very pleased with the Master Lock combo pack. You can purchase this combo pack on Amazon for a little under $20.

I like the keyed locking file box. I can’t tell you how many documents have been ruined or lost over the years in my house. We have those cheep accordion style file boxes and they eventually break.
One that would really help would be what we used to call a “police lock” when I was a kid. It’s the 20 gauge Steel Dual Function Adjustable Door Security Bar. It jams up against the door and keeps the creeps out!
