Loving The Silhouette Cameo 2

Have I told you yet how excited I am to have gotten the Silhouette Cameo 2 brand new for only $159! I still cannot believe I found it at Bargain Hunt and I know it was a lucky find, especially since it works perfectly. I haven’t jumped in making elaborate items yet, however, in due time I will for sure.

I have been playing around with it a bit and reading up on different newbie tricks and tips. I found out where I could get cheap vinyl, ended up getting 12 rolls of 12in x 5 feet for 39.93 on eBay today, that equals $3.32 a roll. I am going to assume that was a pretty good deal.

So far I have made some decals, okay fine I have printed some decals for my husband’s drums.

I have went and made a name decal for Bones food dish.

And I have also made an In Loving Memory of Yoda decal for the car.

I have a ton to learn, I want to learn how to stack the vinyl to make colorful decals. I would also love to get some of the other starter kits, like the stamp starter kit, the glass etching starter kit and the rhinestone starter kit. Oh Oh Oh and I need the pixscan cutting mat and the engraver tool.

I think this will be a great little hobby to allow me to keep my mind off things.

How many of you use a cutting machine, any tips to offer this newb?
