It’s almost the middle of December now, and I am sure many are seeing the cold temps that the winter months often bring. Here in Tennessee our temps haven’t got to bad, however, we have gotten some chilly nights. When cold weather strikes many forget about their furrbabies, thinking they have furr they’ll be fine. Take a blanket and stand outside wrapped up in a blanket for 10 minutes, how are you feeling know? Cold? I bet so, just because a pet has furr doesn’t mean they cannot get cold!
Thankfully, we have products like the KatKabin and dog houses, that can help take a little bit of that cold off our pets.
We were sent a KatKabin to check out, while we don’t have any cats, we do have a few strays that like to hangout around our home. Mostly cats that people don’t want and since we are in the country they tend to be dropped off out here. We do our best to keep them warm, often times they’ll hangout on top of the car.
The KatKabin comes in a cute little cat shape and has a insert to give the kitties a comfy place to sleep.
I love the flap on the KatKabin, it lets the cats get in and keeps the cold out, the insert allows them to be off the ground and off the plastic of the KatKabin giving them a little warmth. The back of the KatKabin has small holes to allow the inside to have some air circulation.
The cats outside are a bit skiddish and currently have not figured out the bed is for them to stay warm with, or they know we have dogs so are attempting to stay away from the home. I am sure when it gets cold enough they’ll find it to be a nice little hide-out away from the outside elements.
If you happen to be in a location that gets extremely cold, there’s several different accessories you can purchase to help keep the KatKabin warmer for your four legged friend. Or if your cat is an indoor cat they also have an indoor KatKabin that comes complete with a scratching post.
The KatKabin is a perfect hide-out for both indoor and outdoor cats, you can purchase the KatKabin on their website or on sites like Amazon. Price does vary depending where you purchase.
Those are nice! I know, even fur-covered animals need a place to stay to keep warm! I know all the squirrels in my area, wait until someone parks their car, and they jump up into the top of wheels and stay warm there for a while. Once I saw a mother squirrel do this with her baby in her mouth! (Not to eat it, to carry it!)
