I happen to be a sucker when it comes to personalized gifts, I love everything about them and when I get a gift that has been personalized, I know it was made for me with love. Of course, I appreciate any gift I receive, I just happen to love the personalized ones a bit better, because it is a gift not everyone has!
I have had the opportunity to work with PicturesOnGold.com again this holiday season, and I have got to say, I love their products! I am personally not much for jewelry, the only jewelry I usually wear is my wedding rings, however, when I received my Valentine’s Day locket January of 2013, it also quickly became a piece of jewelry that I would wear daily, and that I would cherish.
Since I love and cherish mine so much, I knew a friend that would also love and cherish a Build Your Own Locket from PicturesOnGold. Her brother had recently died tragically, and she has been having a hard time with the lose of him. While I knew the locket wouldn’t bring him back to her, I knew her having the locket would make her days easier, because she would hold him close to her heart.
So I got some dates from her and a couple pictures so that I could build her locket. One thing I like about PicturesOnGold, is you can see what the locket will look like when it is finished. Whenever I make personalized gifts, I always worry about the gift not coming out right. I have had this happen in the past with another company, and I wasn’t very happy about it.
I can say though, I have NEVER had an issue with PicturesOnGold, with their interactive build your own locket application making personalized jewelry has never been easier!
The interactive design your own locket was launched October 2013. This application gives you step by step directions on how to build your locket the way you want it. You see every step from start to finish.
Once you have an idea of what you would like, you then start with the front of the locket. They have 1000’s of front designs to chose from whether you want it to say something, or you would like an image. My friends brother loved to hunt so we went with the image that looked like a deer.
After I had it how I wanted it to look, and I showed it to my friend we were pleased and moved on to the inside of the locket, we played with a few different pictures and found the perfect one. I browsed the computer for the picture, uploaded it, and then adjusted it to fit how I wanted it to…
The above picture did have other people in it, but I moved it around some to make sure it just had my friend’s brother in it. So far the locket was looking awesome, and my friend was getting excited to see it completed.
Getting the pictures to line up how you want them can be a bit tricky, but playing around some with move, resize and rotate, will get the image perfect.
After I had the front, inside left and inside right the way I wanted them, I then went and did the back. She wanted the back to have his name, birthday and death date. Once that was completed, I picked out the chain, and was able to preview completely how the necklace would look.
I showed the images to my friend and she loved it! When I got ready to order, I did have that ugh in the pit of my stomach, because I was a bit nervous of the necklace coming out how I wanted it to. However, PicturesOnGold have never disappointed me in the past, so I knew it would arrive perfectly the way I designed it.
I was correct the necklace arrived and it was beautiful!
