When it comes to my families health, I like going the all-natural route. With going this route we keep as many bad toxins out of our body as we possibly can. Not long ago I was contacted by Norm’s Farms and introduced to Elderberries. I personally had no clue what an Elderberry was, nor did I know how good it was for you.
Elderberries can be made into yummy fruit spreads or turned into all-natural wellness products. We were sent some of the Elderberry jams, jellies, and preservatives to check out, if you missed that review you can read it here, we were also sent Elderberry Wellness Syrup and Elderberry Extract.
This product is completely different from the jams, jellies, and preservatives. The Elderberry Wellness syrup actually taste pretty good, it is mixed with the right amount of Elderberries, honey, clove and cinnamon.
The taste is different, but I love the fact it doesn’t have a chemically taste, and that it is all natural. I am not certain how this works on the throat but I am going to give it a try this winter when the throat becomes scratchy. I also want to try it out in a few recipes to see how well it works. Norm’s Farms website has several recipes that look like they would be perfect for the holiday meals.
Elderberry Extract has a different taste to it, I am not sure how I would explain it. It is on the edge of a sweet tart, not sweet but not tart but in the middle somewhere if that even makes since.
What surprised me is Elderberry contain higher levels of antioxidants than blueberry, making this the perfect additive to my glass of water. Or if you like spritzers you could make you an Elderberry Spritzer.
If you have yet to try Elderberries, head on over to Norm’s Farms and get you some of these great products, you can even purchase an Elderberry plant during the winter months.
What is your favorite berry? Have you ever heard of or tried Elderberries?
