bakeoff

I have always loved baking and cooking. A few years ago I got brave and let the box mixes sit on the shelves and I dug out the cookbooks and began to make most everything from scratch. I would once in awhile get brave and attempt to make up my own version. However, that always ended up with the dessert in the trash.

I have never been very good at making up my own recipes, but I do love trying new recipes others have made up!

How many of you can take a handful of products and turn them into something awesome? How many of you are like me and stick to making other peoples recipes, because making up your own results in no dessert at the dinner table?

If you’re a baker head on over and enter the Pillsbury Bake-Off for a chance to win ONE MILLION DOLLARS! We all can use a little extra money, why not make it doing something you love!

  1. I’ve been making my own pizza dough for over 20 years and have adapted a few recipes to make them my own. As far as baking goes, I stick to a recipe most of the time. Every since I’ve made brownies from scratch I don’t use the box variety and as of lately have been making cakes box free! The flavor is great but the texture is not a fluffy as I would like it to be. It’s not bad and it does go well with my buttercream. I did something last weekend when my parents and in-laws were over, a cookie making party. Let me explain…I made up a batch of chocolate chip cookie dough without the chips, just dough. After dinner I gave everyone a dough ball and laid out a bunch of different ingredients, 4 different kinds of chocolate chips, a huge variety of nuts and candies. Everyone made their own concoction and then I baked’em up. They were served warm to everyone with a glass of milk. It went over well!
