I am so sick and tired of spam, I wake up every morning to hundreds of spam comments, I go to bed every night with several spam comments. These spam comments wouldn’t be so bad, if they were not mixed in with the comments waiting to be approved.
I have been struggling with this issue for a few months now, at one time I never got spam comments because the anti-spam plugins I once was using was nailing them all. Then there was either a plugin update, or a wordpress update and that plugin was no good.
I don’t want to have to put a letter captcha in, however, if the new one doesn’t work, I may have to look into it. I cannot ban all the ips that come in with spam comments, because it would ban a lot of people, if you’re a blogger and have a wordpress plugin you use for spam that works great, please share!
It looks as though some spam comments are still getting through with the new one so I will play with the settings a bit and hopefully it will work good, and the bots will have a harder time and just remove my site from their list of sites to spam.
