I am participating in the Verizon Wireless Ambassadors program and have been provided with a wireless device and three months of service in exchange for my honest opinions about the product.
One of the main things turned people away from the Blackberry is the lack of apps. While the BlackBerry World, hasn’t been around for that long, they have many great apps to choose from. If you’re like me and you have a few apps you just cannot live without, thanks to side-loading you can probably get them on the BlackBerry.
Shortly after receiving the BlackBerry in the mail, I started browsing the BlackBerry World. After becoming a Verizon Wireless Ambassador, I got addicted to some, okay a lot, of android apps, so when I couldn’t find those apps in the BlackBerry World, I turned to Google.
I quickly discovered, I could side-load a large selection of Android apps on to the BlackBerry! This was a score, I quickly located the ported versions of pinterest, out of milk, netflix, paypal, instagram, and even 4 pics 1 word. I then searched on how to make this possible.
Side-loading android apps on to the BlackBerry was a lot easier than I thought it would be, I thought I was going to have to ask the hubby for some help, but I tackled it on my own. I think that is what makes the BlackBerry so awesome, is it has the ability to side-load.
While, the BlackBerry does have a lot of great apps of its own, side-loading gives you the option to use your favorite apps, until they’re developed for the BlackBerry.
So far I have loved checking out the BlackBerry Z10, the keyboard on this is awesome, and I love the bluetooth speaker that came with it.
Keep an eye out for more posts to come on the BlackBerry!
