Weight Loss Journey Week 3

Three weeks ago tomorrow is when I took the stand and changed everything in my kitchen… No more boxed meals, no more packaged meals, everything cooked on the stove, we even left all the junk food at the door. We started to eat whole grain pasta and rice. I love my pasta and I couldn’t just throw that out, we also started to eat more beans, and veggies.

I found a love for frozen grapes, and when I feel as though I am hungry and water will not kill the hunger feeling, I grab some grapes. I also started to work out on the Wii. The Wii workouts have some what slowed down with the Summer heat. If often feels like an oven in my home, plus I will admit it started to get boring.

So I just started moving more, when I am standing I sway my hips, walk in place, just do small things. I have also started to do some working out in the swimming pool. Not to big so I am limited, but I can kick my feet and move my arms against the water. My arms are killing me right now, anyways. Since changing our eating, and taking in more water, I can proudly say… I am down 8 pounds YES EIGHT POUNDS in 3 weeks!!!

Want to hear something even better? Since the beginning of May my total weight loss is 16 pounds… remember I didn’t start trying until June 6th, I am very confident I will meet my goal weight before my next birthday in 2013.

Are you struggling with your weight? My advice and remember this is coming from someone who was once 315 pounds, change your eating. More fruits and veggies, less boxed/prepared meals. Don’t look at the scale as your enemy look at it as a tool. A tool that will help you on your journey to a healthier you. When or if you see an increase work harder. However, I can tell you right now, if you remove the boxed/prepared meals from your diet, and you add more fruits, veggies, and water, illuminate the junk food, you will NOT see an increase on the scales.
