Not much longer and all those Christmas trees will be going up and all those special ornaments will be getting unwrapped and placed on the tree. We have a tradition in our family, always after Thanksgiving dinner the tree gets put up.
The award winning author that is best known for her best selling Christmas book, Celebrate Advent, has published a new story for this year’s holidays.
The Last Ornament by Judith Swisher, is a cute little story that shows what happens after the tree is trimmed, and what happens with the last ornament when the tree is taken down. I know way to well, what it is like to forget an ornament only to find it the following year broke.
My Thoughts:
I personally loved the story and I think it can relate to a lot of families. I know when Christmas is over with I am in a hurry to get it down, packed up and ready to get everything cleaned back up. I think the Last Ornament is a cute, fun story that I can share with my daughter for many years down the road, and maybe we won’t forget the special ornaments that make our tree whole.

My favorite Christmas ornament is a partially open matchbox that contains a tiny fuzzy mouse poking its head out of the box. My daughter made it for me when she was in pre-school. Now my grandkids enjoy seeing it hanging on my tree.
