5 Ingredient Fix Review

Food NetworkClaire Robinson, the hot new Food Network star of 5 Ingredient Fix and Food Network Challenge, helps people get dinner on the table with little fuss and a few great ingredients.

The quest for simple, affordable, and fresh, mouthwatering food is over. 5 INGREDIENT FIX helps put delicious and sophisticated meals on the table in a snap. With people struggling to simplify, streamline, and budget, the Food Network’s Claire Robinson is here to help. Cooking doesn’t have to be complicated to be impressive; simplifying the process with fewer ingredients saves time, frustration, and ultimately, money. From breakfast treats like Brioche French Toast with Strawberries and Cream to no-fuss meals like Grown-up Grilled Cheese and Iceberg Wedges with Buttermilk Dressing to a romantic dinner of Grilled Scallops with Saffron Aioli and Green Goddess Rice, all of Robinson’s recipes have five or fewer ingredients. A quick trip to the supermarket for one bag of groceries, and a delicious, restaurant-quality meal can be on the table in no time.

With the economy the way it is, and it being cheaper to purchase one meal deals, such as boxed meals, and cheap cuts of fatty meats. It has taken a toll on every-ones waistlines. With Claire Robinson’s new book 5 Ingredient Fix you can get a yummy healthy meal that will not break the bank.

Whether you are looking for the main course meals, or the dessert afterwords, Claire’s book as a bit of everything. One thing I noticed while looking at all the delicious recipes, she tries to go as healthy as she can. She recommends using organic meats, as well as low sodium broths.

Did you know sodium, has a huge effect on your body when it comes to your weight? If you was to cut your sodium intake you would notice a difference in your waistline  for the better.

There is several recipes, I will be cooking once we are done with this very strict low calorie diet. One is the brown butter banana muffins!

I love bananas and these muffins look awesome.

Brown Butter Banana Muffins

Bake at 375F for 25 min

1/4 pound unsalted butter (1 stick)

4 ripe bananas

1/3 cup raw agave syrup of honey

1 large egg

1 3/4 cups self rising flour

5 simple ingredients, and you get some yummy muffins. This is my kind of cooking, simple healthy and not bank breaking.

I personally love this cookbook, and I see myself using it often in the months to come. As I have stated in previous posts, our days of eating out of the box are over.

You can purchase 5 Ingredient Fix: Easy, Elegant, and Irresistible Recipes on Amazon for $19.79.

Disclosure: I received a copy of 5 Ingredient Fix, I did not receive any other form of payment. This is my honest opinion, receiving a copy did not change my thoughts on this cookbook.
