Why Homeschooling ROCKS

You do not have time to be bored.

I went to public schools all my life, and I found I was bored of the whole environment. I would often sleep in class. Yes, I admit it I slept in school. I mean who didn’t. I knew I didn’t want that for my daughter. I mean come on what do you learn when you are sleeping. Maybe that is why studies show homeschoolers to be smarter then those from public schools. Children being home schooled are having too much fun to fall asleep during their learning time. Not only that homeschoolers do not have to watch the clock and count down the time on when they can go home.

No one picks on you!

Kids nowadays can be so hateful. I remember growing up and I wasn’t one of those popular kids. Maybe that is why I slept in class. Because I just didn’t care. Homeschoolers do not have to go through all the hate that is in the public schooling. Of course some have other siblings so some picking might go on between family. However, I would much rather be picked on by family then someone that I do not really know. At least then I know my family loves me still.
Also, children being homeschooled develop a stronger bond with their parents. I love having Gillian home. Yea sure sometimes I would like a break but with her home I know she is safe.

Chances are with being home-schooled your teacher will like you.

I personally do not recall known of my teachers not liking me. I was a good student just not to popular. However, when we sent our daughter to school she got a teacher who was down right hateful. At first she seemed nice, then Gillian would come home and tell me things, and me being a protective mom would call the school to find out why in Kindergarten little boys was kissing on my child in a sexual manner. I was informed they teach them in Kindergarten to keep their hands to themselves… mmhmm.

What drew the line for me was when the teacher approached Gillian and told her she is not to come home and tell and I quote “Your mom everything that goes on”. The following day they had request to transfer papers, and we began to home school. That was the best move for my daughter and her education.

We have been homeschooling now for 4 years and we could not be happier about that decision. Not only do I have control of what my daughter learns we learn at her speed so she takes in what she learns.
