Red Strike Energy Drink

My husband is addicted to Red Bull. He can drink 2 to 3 a night while working. Red Bulls run a little over 3 bucks a piece for the ones he drinks. At one time he was spending over 20 a week on them. I finally had to tell him not so many, because it was costing a lot.

However, while on a shopping trip to Wal-mart I was about to check out when I noticed an energy drink on the end cap. I pick it up and see it is only 98 cents. So I get 2 of them for my husband to try. I mean if he doesn’t like them I only wasted 2 dollars right?

I bring them home and put them in the fridge. I almost forget I got them, but when he woke up I showed them to him and told him the price. He opened it and took a drink his response. “Wow this tastes just like red bull” he started checking out the can and it is almost identical to red bull drinks. SCORE

So if you are looking for a cheap alternative to the expensive Red Bull drinks, Red Strike which can be found at Wal-mart are almost identical.

Hmm, strange thing. I was searching for Red Bull alternatives for the same reason as you (their prohibitive cost,) and this blog entry came up. So, I went to Walmart to check it out, and lo and behold, they taste JUST like Red Bull! I found that I can buy two 12 oz cans for $2.22. Pretty sweet deal!

  2. I too stumbled across Red Strike at Walmart and find it to be a great Red Bull replacement. Today I went to restock and found it selling for 48 cents a can!
